Essentially we have pioneered the world of organics. Our certifications are inclusive of the materials we use; the work conditions for the employees and the factory process (use of water and solar power etc)

We manufacture at the source of the raw materials.

Our wool products are made in Australia
Our cotton is grown in India (where monsoon rains and biodynamic farming occur)
Our silk is made in organic silk farms in India.
Some of our wool for carpets is from NZ and from village sheep in India

We manufacture the only pure wool mattresses available in the world.

We recently pioneered and offer the only certified organic wall to wall carpet and rugs available.

We manufacture beds and furniture in Australian hardwoods here in Maleny

We developed certified organic school uniforms by demand of our customers.

We developed the first in the world certified organic labels for clothing.

Essentially we manufacture all that is required to build a toxic free home and lifestyle for our customers. We have an exceptionally high customer return rate for any industry of well over 50% every day. Our business has grown through word of mouth as we don’t really advertise.

We send all of our products all over the world and have recently had a store in Dunedin NZ become a ‘partnership store” and may soon create the same in Munich Germany.

We sell health orientated cookware and garden furniture and pots and kitchen appliances as well as many health products including tesla devices.

Our purpose is to make it a genuine choice for people to have toxic free products which are unique and sustainably created.

Much of what we sell goes direct from the factory to the customer especially the mattresses and carpets.

Whist it may be an easy option for us to exist in a commercial setting we believe we have a responsibility to be available to the public. Many people travel from all over Australia to explore our products. We are a destination. Though much of our business is on line our customer enjoy to visit us when they are travelling this way. – We need to be available

As a business we operate sustainably and really have no need for even a domestic rubbish run. We use all of our packaging in as packaging going out.

Because we manufacture we custom make for houses/motor homes and yachts.

We can create most anything and do. We create organic bags for eye glass companies and fabric bags for many business with their logo.

Our business ethic has recently been noted by some Australian universities working on chemical sensitivities. We are often called upon to educate. Most every day we receive gratitude for making the things we do available which allow some people to survive in the world.

Taste Nature is Dunedin’s largest and oldest organic shop, attracting customers from the Otago region. Taste Nature is a socially conscious business, we promote ethical business and consumption practices through providing a range of ethical, healthy and natural products, run workshops and engage in active conversations with our community on sustainable consumption practices. With the rise of textile waste on the environment, at Taste Nature we have felt the need for more awareness and consumer demand for Organic Textiles. An organic cotton farming system is one that sustains the health of soils, ecosystems and people. It relies on ecological processes, biodiversity and cycles adapted to local conditions rather than the use of artificial elements such as pesticides and other chemicals that cause adverse effects. These principles of organic cotton farming are aligned with ours and therefore a product line we must be seen supporting. After much research into organic textiles we found Blessed Earth to offer the best range, at affordable prices and ethically sound on many levels. They have been extremely supportive to Taste Nature as we transition into this new product line. We have had a very positive response to their clothing, bed linen and towelling products, there products are of high quality and functionality.
